Who is Sergio Jauregui?
The defender was born on March 13, 1985, in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and he is currently 38 years old with a height of 5 feet and 11 inches.
Jauregui started his football career in 2005 with Blooming, making just 85 appearances in all competitions.
His good form at Blooming United got him a transfer to the Swiss team, Yverdon-Sports, in 2005.
However, he failed to live up to expectations with poor performances at the club. He played just three matches for the Swiss team before securing a move back to Bolivia.
In 2007, the defender returned to Blooming. On August 24, 2009, during a match, the defender was given a red card after he clashed with another player named Leonardo Medina and gave him a kick on his face.
After the incident, Medina was taken to the hospital and Jauregui was banned from playing for Bolivia for nine months and was also charged with assault.
Before his retirement, Jauregui made 13 caps for the Bolivia national team. He made nine FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for the national team.
He was regarded as one of the most talented defenders in the history of Bolivia.
