Four persons remanded in Ondo Court for examination malpractices


Some four persons have been remanded in a court in Ondo state for examination malpractice.

A Federal High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State remanded these men. This happened on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Their offense was for impersonation and exam malpractice in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams which were conducted recently.

These men have been identified as Feranmi Adesuyi, Timilehin Akinwale, Peter Okereke, and Olayinka Mustapha.

The prosecution revealed that Timilehin Akinwale, Olayinka Mustapha and Peter Okereke had committed this crime on the 15th of February, 2023. Their offense was impersonation during the exams which held in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) center in Aina Awaw International College.

The last person Feranmi Adesuyi committed the crime on the 28th of April 2023 at Amable Nigeria Limited CBT center in Owo.

These offenses were committed during the 2023 JAMB examination.

These men pleaded not guilty to the charges that were read against them.

Justice T. B. Adegoke, who is the presiding judge, granted the prosecutor’s plea, which was to remand these suspects.

He ordered that the suspects be remanded at the Olokuta Custodial Centre. He then adjourned the case till the 12th of July, 2023, for hearing.
