France President, Emmanuel Macron alongside the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, met Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe at Elysee Palace for a dinner on Tuesday night, February 27.

The French president organized a dinner on Tuesday in honor of Sheikh Tamim as he also invited Mbappe and PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi to join amidst Real Madrid's transfer interest.

Mbappe's ongoing story about leaving PSG next season was not the main reason for the dinner, although, is it speculated that Macron did have a short word with him when the two met.

Mbappe is known for having a cordial relationship with the French president. In a video posted on social media, Macron was seen shaking hands with Mbappe after arriving at the gala dinner as he shared his concern over the PSG forward recent transfer saga.

Macron told Mbappe; "You are going to create more problems for us".

Macron has previously stepped into Mbappe's matters as he was one of the few who spoke to the former Monaco striker to sign his last PSG contract when he was close to joining Real Madrid last summer.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is undoubtedly the main man for Paris Saint Germain and has bagged 32 goals so far this season in all competitions.

Meanwhile, his current contract is due to expire at the end of the season with Real Madrid remaining positive over his acquisition.

Several media outlets have already reported that he has informed PSG about his decision to leave the club after the season.

Mbappe has never hidden his admiration since childhood for the Spanish powerhouse, who are favorite to land one of world football's biggest young talents.

However, La Liga president Javier Tebas has already declared that Los Blancos are very close to signing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Tebas said; "Knowing that he is leaving PSG, there is a 99 percent chance that Mbappe will sign for Real. But I don't know if he has already signed".

The 25-year-old Mbappe joined Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2017 from Monaco in a deal reportedly worth 190 million dollars.

Over the years, he has gone on to establish himself as the best player in the club’s history and leads the goal-scoring chart for them with 244 goals from 292 appearances.

Meanwhile, PSG manager Luis Enrique has begun planning life at the club without Mbappe as he took him off in the 65th minute during PSG's game against Rennes in the French Ligue 1.

What's next?

Real Madrid's long pursuit of the 25-year-old could finally see the light as the PSG star is expected to wear the iconic white jersey next season.

In addition, Madrid's interest in the French forward is an open secret, and Santiago Bernabeu could finally see the player combine with the likes of Vini Junior, Rodrigo, and Jude Bellingham.
