Nollywood sweetheart Funke Akindele announces the launch of her new movie "Everybody Loves Jenifa" in December.
Funke Akindele made this announcement on her official Instagram page on Tuesday, telling fans to anticipate the return of Jenifa on their screens. Funke Akindele, often referred to as the Queen of Box Office, broke the record for the most viewed cinema movie in Nigeria with her blockbuster film "A Tribe Called Judah".
The movie which premiered in December 2023 hit over a billion at the box office nationwide and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Following this formidable feat, Funke Akindele announces a spinoff of her popular series "Jenifa's Diary"
Jenifa's Diary started airing on television on 15th April 2015. The series featured actors like Olayode Juliana, Falz, Tobi Makinde, Lota Chukwu, the late Jumoke Aderounmu, Jide Awobona, and Funke Akindele as the lead character. The Jenifa franchise kicked off in 2008 when Funke Akindele premiered Jenifa Pt. 1, Jenifa Pt. 2 (2009), and The Return of Jenifa in 2011.
