Popular Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele has revealed why she left Twitter after the elections which took place last month.
She finally mentioned why she left the social media platform after she lost in the gubernatorial elections in March.
Funke Akindele is a well-known Nigerian actress. She ran alongside Abdulazeez Adediran who was the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the Lagos elections.
Recall she lost the elections and soon after deleted all her campaign posts on social media. She then took a break from Twitter.
They lost to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Fans asked her why she left Twitter and she then replied saying that people insult others too much on Twitter so she decided to stay away.
Someone else had asked if she was afraid but she replied saying she wasn't afraid but she was just being careful
