Popular comedian Desmond Onaibe Oghenekowhoyan, simply known as Destalker reveals his colleague Stanley Chibuna aka Funnybone told him he won't last in the entertainment scene.
Destalker revealed this in an interview with Afrobeats Podcast. Destalker revealed that he started getting snide remarks from his colleagues after he won the Best Comedian of the Year award. He said, "Funnybone said it. He didn't know I was close to him. 6 months, he don go down. Highest one year"
Destalker acknowledged the contribution of legendary comedian Julius Agwu to his career, revealing that he broke into the international market with his help. He revealed that Julius Agwu recommended him for various opportunities including performing at former NFF President, Amaju Pinnick's annual show, Warri Again.
Destalker said despite his colleagues' network, they couldn't recommend him for shows or put him on for opportunities.
Destalker won the Host of the Year award at the Comedy Club Awards, Comedian of the Year at the Naija FM Awards, and Best Comedian of the Year at the Cheq TV Awards in 2019.
