FUOYE VC pays visit to Chef Dammy
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye, Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Fasina has paid a visit to Chef Damilola Adeparusi.
Chef Dammy is a 300 level student of the department of Mass communication at FUOYE. She embarked on a 120 hour cook-a-thon recently and aims to beat the existing record which was set by Hilda Baci.
The VC alongside some other members in the institution visited chef Dammy yesterday, Tuesday.
The other members of the institution present include members of the University Governing Council and the Management team in Ilupeju-Ekiti.
This visit was to encourage the young chef who took on such a task.
The students present at the scene were excited to see their VC stop by and they cheered.
The VC addressed them all and expressed his joy at the success Damilola has been able to achieve through her cooking skills.
He says they are delighted with her resilient spirit in achieving greatness.
He reveals that she has made them all very proud.
He says FUOYE loves to encourage the students to pursue their dreams with sound and functional education that they impact on their students.
He then personally gave her a gift of N200,000 as a support from the university management.
Chef Dammy appreciated the university management and promised to always male FUOYE proud wherever she is.
