Gareth Bale has sent a strong message to Jude Bellingham telling the English player to play the game and be a puppet at Real Madrid if he wants to resist being lambasted.
The Wales International was formerly the most expensive player in the world following his move from Tottenham to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2013.
Bale spent eight seasons with the Spanish powerhouse recording a series of successes. He scored excellent goals in two UEFA Champions League finals but later found himself in a mess with the club's supporters.
The Spanish reporters were extremely condemning of the winger throughout his time whilst some of Bale's teammates were also integral of some of his behavior.
Bale sends a strong message to Jude Bellingham over Spanish press and Real Madrid fans
Bellingham has proven to be a huge hit since his move during the summer transfer window from Borussia Dortmund, but the former Tottenham forward has advised him against how things can quickly go wrong.
Bale said; "The biggest advice (is) play the game at Madrid. If you don't play the game and do what the media want, speak to them, and basically be a puppet, you do get a lot of stick.
"You'll see a lot of Galacticos, they'll act like Galacticos, do what the press wants, and play the game of being at Real Madrid".
"That's probably where I was a bit of a downfall. I didn't want to do it. I just wanted to play football and go home. It hindered me and that made them attack me a bit more".
He added; "So my advice would be, honestly, just play the game of Real Madrid off the field. You have to speak after games, make sure you try and speak in Spanish, do those kinds of things".
Bellingham has played a vital role in Real Madrid this season having already matched goalscoring records formerly set by Cristiano Ronaldo as he continues to add factors to his game.
The former Borussia Dortmund player has come up with winning goals in several outings including in the current El Clasico victory over Barcelona.
The former Birmingham City midfielder has already sketched his desire to stay at Real for the next decade and beyond.
Recently in an interview, he said; "This is the club I want to be at for the next 10 to 15 years of my life. I am loving it there".
Bellingham has been applauded for his motivation having denied offers to return to England, instead opting to contest himself at what is arguably the most outstanding club in the world.
The 20-year-old has made an extraordinary start to his career in the Spanish capital, scoring 13 goals in his first 14 outings for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
Bale's difficulties in Spain
Gareth Bale, on the other hand, played seven times for Los Blancos after his shock return to England in 2020/2021, he recorded just 21 goals in his final three years at the club.
He went on to become one of the most successful British players of all time, winning the UEFA Champions League, five La Liga titles, Spanish Cup, Spanish Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup every year between 2014 and 2018, but by the end of his spell at Santiago Bernabeu, Bale became a debatable figure.
He managed over 100 goals in 258 games and also registered 67 assists and had some critical periods along the way.
Gareth Bale made a stunning start in the 2013/2014 season, scoring 15 and dashing out 13 in his first 27 league matches in Spain, also contributing to the winning goal in the 2013/2014 Champions League final.
The former LAFC forward then went on to score 32 league goals in his next two seasons as well, winning Europe's biggest trophy twice, but things began to change as the feeling shifted.
What's next for Jude Bellingham?
The United Kingdom-born midfielder is currently out of the England squad that will participate in the ongoing International matches due to a shoulder injury.
However, the 20-year-old midfielder will be looking to recover speedily after being granted the opportunity to leave the England camp and will be back in action when Real Madrid lock horns against Cardiz on November 26.
In addition, the midfielder will also have to contend with a new manager with Carlo Ancelotti already rumored to be leaving the club next season.
