When he refused, Mueller then brought false trumped-up charges against Flyn who was later convicted and sentenced to prison. Trump then later appointed a special counsel to investigate the final Mueller probe and one of (many yet to come) recommendations was that General Flyn was harassed and wrongly accused on trumped up allegations and that the witness provided by the FBI to incriminate and sentence him was lying.
