Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner Alessia Elefante have reportedly been attacked and robbed at their home in Paris.
The lovebirds were attacked by several people and were tied up at their home in the eighth district in the center of of the capital, according to the Police.
The Police revealed that the French Media confirmed that the couple escaped to a nearby hotel after the attack.
However, an alarm was raised by hotel staff and the couple were later on taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Paris prosecutor’s confirmed that: “An investigation has been opened on charges of armed robbery in an organised gang and aggravated violence following the events that took place overnight at Mr Donnarumma’s place.”
Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessia lost about €500,000 (£430,000 in the attack as the attackers went away with jewelry, watches and luxury leather goods.
The PSG keeper lightly injured while his partner, model Alessia Elefante, was unharmed, sources revealed to Agence France Presse.

Donnarumma’s agent revealed in a statement that the lovers “are in shock at what happened but doing well under the terrible circumstances. Both are assisting the police with their enquiries”.
The prosecutor’s office also revealed that France’s special BRB police unit monitoring armed robbery and burglaries had commenced investigation.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, 24, joined PSG two seasons ago and was meant to join the squad later on Friday ahead of the club’s first pre-season friendly match against Le Havre and a tour of Japan and South Korea.
Last January, two men were sentenced to jail for robbering the home of PSG defender Marquinhos in Yvelines to the west of Paris in March 2021.
Marquinhos was on the pitch when the incident occurred but his father was at home together with his two daughters, the father was hit in the face and ribs but was unhurt.

Also, the home of other teammates too aside Gianluigi Donnarumma was burgled too, with Angel Di Maria’s home attacked same day Marquinhos’ home was robbed.
Other players that have experienced same in the past while playing for PSG, includes Thiago Silva, Dani Alves and Eric Choupo-Moting.
There has always been a rave of attacks on high-profile footballers by gangs in the UK and also in the Netherlands.
