Governor Sanwo-Olu donates N100m to the victims of the Akere Market fire.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is the Governor of Lagos State has donated a sum of N100 killing to the traders who were affected by the Akere Market fire.

Recall that recently, a fire engulfed Akere spare part market in lagos. Many shops were burnt and goods worth millions were destroyed.

The Governor donated N100 million to these traders whose shops and goods were burnt at the market. This was yesterday, March 15, 2023.

In addition to his donation, he also began the work of laying the foundation for a new story-building in Akere Market.

He led a delegation on an assessment of the spot on the site. This was when he announced the donation to these people

The Governor also met with the victims of the accident and sympathized with them.

This was all a part of reliving and compensating the loss of these traders.

During this fire incident, it was also reported that one person was shot and killed. The governor also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased. He then promised to assist with the burial of the man who was killed.

He made mention of the fact that this had nothing to do with politics but that it just coincided with a political season.

He expressed his joy to assist in laying the foundation of a new market.
