During the 17th Annual Town Hall Meeting which was held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu promised to donate 300 operational vehicles to the different security agencies in Lagos State. This is a step to show how much his administration is willing is prioritize security in the State.

He pledged to pursue policies that contribute to building a secure environment for all Lagosians. He proposed that the State Government would be collaborating with local governments, to map out a strategy to replace all the worn-out vehicles in use at the Lagos State Police Command, the RRS, and other security agencies.

Sanwo-Olu added that his administration would ensure that between now and next year, 300 brand-new vehicles would be donated to the Lagos State Security Trust Funds.

The Executive Secretary at the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, gave a breakdown of how the previous donations from the state government were spent. He said that LSSTF received N318 million and 2 vehicles in 2023. N163 million was spent on the repairs and refurbishments of old operational vehicles. He added that 52 RRS vehicles and several others got their engines replaced and fully republished to ensure the smooth running of the vehicles. He urged the Sanwo-Olu-led administration to support the trust fund so every security agency in the state would be more effective.
