He revealed that there will be a reduction of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) by 50% while that of danfo buses is by 25%. This danfo bus is a popular commercial yellow bus in Lagos state. This reduction of transport fare for these buses is for all routes to be played by the buses.

Governor Sanwo-Olu revealed this while he was speaking to some journalists at the State House, in Ikeja on Monday.

He also disclosed that the number of Lagos State staff buses will also be increased. He says that they have purchased new buses which will be distributed soon. He shared that lagos workers are vital to the programs of the state and the wellbeing of all lagos state residents is vital.

He also revealed that the state has made arrangements for palliatives to be shared in the form of food packs like rice, beans and cassava flour (garri) to needy people in Lagos State.

They plan to carry out this distribution through the Community Development Associations (CDAs), and other religious groups.
All these are to lessen the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy in the country which has led to a hike in transportation fuel and fuel price.
