Gunmen kidnap pastor and others during attack in Plateau church
A recent attack by some suspected Gunmen in Plateau state has led to the abduction of a pastor and 2 others. Some gunmen attacked a church in Plateau state recently and they kidnapped a pastor alongside 2 other people.
The attack occurred yesterday morning, Wednesday September 13, 2023. This occured in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State. The pastor who was kidnapped has been identified as Usman Umaru. This pastor works with the Evangelical Church Winning All.
He and the others were abducted after the attack on his church which is located in Maigemu community. It was a resident in the community who Is a youth leader that confirmed this incident. He revealed that these gunmen took away these victims he also shared that some security operatives have been contacted and they have been making efforts to locate them and have been searching through the bushes.
The witness said “In the early hours of Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Gunmen, whom we believe were kidnappers, invaded Maigemu community in the Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State. They made straight to the ECWA Church, Nuku, and kidnapped the Pastor, Usman Umaru. The gunmen also kidnapped another person whose name is Agwom Dauda and a woman before they escaped.”
He also added “Since the kidnap incident happened, men of the Special Taskforce, ‘Operation Safe Haven’ and some vigilante members in the community have been searching everywhere to rescue the victims.”
They haven't been able to contact the Spokesman for the Plateau state Police Command yet to speak on this incident as at the time this was written.
