GWR says Chef Dammy didn't submit any application
The Guinness World Record has revealed that Chef Damilola Adeparusi didn't submit an application before she commenced her own Cook-a-thon.
Recall Chef Dammy began her own Cook-a-thon last week in an attempt to break Hilda Baci’s record of the longest cooking time which she had set at 100 hours.
Chef Dammy was aiming at 130 hours which she has completed but the shocking news is that the GWR didn't receive any application from her.
Chef Dammy is a 300 level student at the Federal University of Oye Ekiti.
Her attempt to break this record was met with lots of negative feedback but she persisted. She received recognition from the VC of FUOYE who visited her as well as the First Lady of Ekiti State who commended her on social media.
Even Chef Hilda Baci commended her efforts on twitter and wished her well.
Through all these, the Guinness World Record did not comment on this attempt which Chef Dammy had made until they revealed that they didn't receive any application from her.
They said when they receive an application, the applicant would be given a set of detailed guidelines that are specific to that record category and these must be adhered to.
There will also be a list of evidence that must be submitted for the GWR team to verify the record before announcing it.
