Nigerian singer Sani Goriola Wasiu popularly known as Lil Frosh's ex-girlfriend Gift Camille has broken silence over the singer's recent statements on what led to his exit from Davido's record label DMW.
It started in 2020 when Lil Frosh was accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend Gift Camille. This incident led to him being arrested and locked up in Ikoyi prison with several photos of his ex-girlfriend's swollen face plastered all over social media. On hearing the news, his former label boss, Davido terminated his contract as an artist under his record label, Davido Music Worldwide, and cut all ties with him. As a result, Lil Frosh's career went downhill from there.
In a recent video, singer Lil Frosh denied allegations of him abusing his girlfriend Gift Camille physically, saying he only slapped her when she disrespected his mother. Lil Frosh also revealed that his ex-girlfriend's swollen face was a result of a skin reaction.
Reacting to this, his ex-girlfriend took to social media yesterday to debunk the claims made by the singer saying it is false and that he abused her when they were together. While Lil Frosh provided receipts of his conversation with his ex-girlfriend Gift, indicating that she begged him to take her back, Gift said Lil Frosh was the one who begged her countless times to take him back. She said she never disrespected his mom like he said. She revealed that her face got swollen due to the internal bleeding from the injury she sustained from the numerous beatings. She said Lil Frosh hit her head with an iron rod which led to her hitting her head on the wall which resulted in the swelling.
Gift also revealed that the both of them got back together in October 2022 but broke up with him in May 2023 because he became more aggressive and controlling. Gift said he usually took her friends' contacts from her phone to threaten them to cut ties with her because he didn't want her associating with anyone to protect their relationship.
