Former BBNaija housemate and actress Bamike Olawunmi Adenibuyan popularly known as Bam Bam has revealed how she suffered postpartum depression when she had her first child.
Bam Bam is an actress and a reality TV star. She shot into the limelight when she featured in the BBNaija Double Wahala season in 2018. She has featured in movies including Inspector K, Foreigner God among others. She and her husband, a reality TV star and actress Tope Adenibuyan aka Teddy A met in the BBNaija house. They have been married for four years and they have 2 daughters from their marriage.
Bam Bam said she never thought she could gain so much weight during childbirth but she's grateful her husband stood by her. She said her second pregnancy was much more favorable than the first one. Bam Bam stated that she lost her skin color and she was really dark.
"My second pregnancy was even more merciful than the first one. I went from maroon to black. I looked in the mirror. I couldn't fit into my clothes. I went from a size 39 to a size 40 in shoe size. I transformed literally.", she added.
After childbirth, Bam Bam said she had to ask the doctor if her baby truly belonged to her because she had gray eyes and a very light skin. She also revealed that she had preeclampsia during childbirth.
She stated, "I had preeclampsia with my pregnancy. She had detached from the placenta by the time I arrived at the hospital. Thank God the hospital was diligent with the things they did."
