How to check WAEC result using phone
Year after year, students sit for the WAEC examination but many of them don't even know how to check WAEC results without using a scratch card. Since we now live in a digital world, the West African Examination Council has made it easier for students to check their WAEC results using their phones.
In this guide, I will be showing you how to check WAEC results using your phone.
You no longer need to buy a scratch card to check your results. All you need is your Smart Identity Card for your result checker PIN and your Serial Number. Your Smart Identity Card is the card given to you before the commencement of your WAEC examination.
Now, follow these steps to check your WAEC result on your phone:
1. Visit WAEC official website
2. You'll see the blank spaces provided. Input your 10-digit Examination Number.
3. Select your examination year.
4. Input your PIN
5. Enter your Serial Number also known as e-PIN voucher number
6. Then press "Submit"
Note that you may not be able to check your WAEC result on your phone if:
1. You misplace your Smart Identity Card
2. Your examination year is earlier than 1999.
In this case, you may need to purchase your PIN online using the WAEC Request Management System portal.
To purchase the WAEC result checker PIN, do this:
1. Visit the WAEC Request Management System portal.
2. You will be given a transaction reference number.
3. On the website, choose the "Select a Request Option" and choose "Request for Service".
5. Under "Select the Request" option, choose "Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker"
6. Input your name, phone number and email address to continue.
7. Then click on "Proceed to online payment" to pay for your WAEC result checker PIN.
Note that the WAEC result checker PIN costs about N3,700.
How to check your WAEC result on your phone with SMS
Another surest way to check your WAEC result on your phone is through Short Message Services (SMS). This will come in handy especially when there is no network connection. It is also cheaper. This service costs N30 only. To do this,
1. Send a text message to 32327 with this format
WAEC*ExamNumber*PIN*ExaminationYear
For example: WAEC*1234567890*1234*2023
2. Make sure you don't leave any space in between the numbers when sending.
