Hushpuppi sentenced to 11 years in prison

Ramon Abass, who is popularly known as Hushpuppi, has been sentenced to 11 years and three months imprisonment. Hewas sentenced by the United States District Court sitting Central District of California. The crimes he was sentenced for include money laundering conspiracy and this was through his numerous online scams.


Justice Otis Wright II, was the one who delivered the judgment. This event occurred on Monday. Hushpuppi was found guilty of these allegations which included laundering proceeds of a school financing scam, business email compromise and some other fraudulent cyber activities.


In 2020, Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai on accounts of several cyber crimes. His arrest was in the month of June, 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

About 10 months after, which was April 2021, he entered a guilty plea to these allegations.

By 2022, Meta deactivated his Instagram page which was a verified Account and he seemed to be popular on this app.


His trial has come to an end and the verdict is the judgment placed about his sentence
