Hushpuppi's colleague, Jacob Olalekan Ponle popularly known as Woodberry, has been sentenced to eight years and three months in prison by the US court in Chicago.
Woodberry was sentenced to eight years in prison after being proven guilty of a multimillion dollar fraud. He was an accomplice in the crimes of convicted fraudster, Ramon Abass also known as Hushpuppi who was arrested with him in Dubai on June 10,2020.
According to reports, Woodberry will pay $8 million dollars to seven victims. The court also placed Woodberry's 152 bitcoins on sale for a period of 30 days. Though, no one seemed to show interest yet.
He will also be transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury Connecticut where he will be incarcerated for his crimes. During this period, his family members will be allowed to visit him from time to time.
It was also concluded that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be handling his deportation process after he completes his term of 8 years.
