Hypertensive man dies as thugs invade home in Lagos.

A man named Simon Maduekwe who happens to be a hypertensive patient had reportedly died from shock.

He suffered shock when some political thugs invaded his home located in Shomolu in Lagos state.

These men ran into his home when attempting to catch a man who used his mobile phone to record their violent activities in a polling unit in that area during the recently concluded elections.

Recall the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections were held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023.

People in the area had gone to that polling unit to vote and during the election process some thugs began to cause problems. They started warning the people against voting for a different candidate than the candidate of their choice.

This man who passed away had reportedly casted his vote and left the polling unit and went home.

One of the political thugs who was threatening people voting realized he had been recorded by a resident on his phone. The thug then began to chase after the man after he had notified his fellow thugs who joined in the chase.

The son of the deceased’s, Chuka mentioned when speaking on the incident that his father was at home when suddenly the resident who was recording ran into his father's house while the thugs were still hot on his trail.

His father was standing by the door when they ran into their house.

His father, Maduekwe who wasn't aware of the incident that had taken place was alarmed and thought these men wanted to attack him for the candidate he had voted for.

The man collapsed as he saw the thugs running towards him.

All attempts to revive him weren't working so they immediately rushed him to the Somolu General Hospital. It was at the hospital that a nurse confirmed that he was dead.

Chuka confirmed that his father had high blood pressure and the entire family was devastated by the passing of his father.
