"I always knew I wanted to do comedy" Layi Wasabi reveals

Popular Nigerian comedian and skitmaker Layi Wasabi has shared that he always knew he wanted to do comedy. Layi is a well known person on social media for his funny skits.

His real name is Isaac Olayiwola but he is popularly known as Layi. He spoke about his skits where he sometimes plays the role of a lawyer named The Law. Layi is actually a Lawyer as he studied law in school.

He revealed all this during a recent interview as a guest on the BTS Reality podcast with Jermaine. Jermaine had revealed how Layi has always been a funny person even back when they were in School and recounted one incident when Layi had gone to eat somewhere different from others.

Jermaine had asked why he waited till now to actualize being a comedian especially since he has always been funny from back when they were in school.
He said "I always knew that I wanted to do comedy. From school I had always been the class clown so I knew that this is what I'd do at the end of the day. Na destiny dey push me where I dey go"

He also shared that his first skit was actually in 2015 and he was still in secondary school. He had done a skit about how people react to flogging and that was what was trending then. He then shared that his major skit which really blew up and was trending was the JAMB Professor skit he made some time ago.

When asked how he comes about his skits on law especially since he is a lawyer, he replied saying "E dey Body, na so e dey come"

He also shared the reason he makes more Law skits. He stated "I think I started to do that lawyer character more because the persona is not just scripting, I've now become that guy lowkey." He also shared that "a creative mind is a fertile land"
