Singer Slimcase opened up on his relationship with his colleague Wizkid in a recent Instagram live session, saying he and the singer are no longer close because he couldn't catch up.
From the onset, Slimcase and Wizkid were known to be great industry pals but it is with great wonder that the duo haven't been seen together in a long time. Wizkid once featured Slimcase in one of his songs Gucci Snake.
Slimcase said, "I knew Wizkid when he was Wizkid. I am not close to him now that he is Big Wiz. In life there are movements. He's now Big Wiz. He has climbed high mountains.
It's not like he cuts people off. It's just that he has climbed a higher mountain so it's you who has to climb to another mountain to join him so you can match up to his level for him to relate with you."
He said that when Wizkid moves, he moves too quickly. Unfortunately, he cannot catch up with him and access is cut off.
Slimcase mentioned that Wizkid told him in 2018 during one of their regular meetups that he is going to take him to a higher level totally different from the streets where he is.
He said Wizkid told him the streets will easily accept him and his craft but the greatest challenge is how to penetrate into the international market and gain the attention of the posh and elites of the society.
