Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has revealed that he doesn't believe in God. He made this controversial statement during a recent interview saying he doesn't believe in the concept of God. He stated that he didn't understand why there's a big guy up there who is just watching everyone so he can judge them later on. This interview was with HipTV on Friday, December 15th 2023.

Seun Kuti is a famous Nigerian Afrobeats musician. His full name is Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, but he is known as just Seun Kuti. Seun Kuti is the son of the popular legendary musician, Fela Kuti and his mother Fehintola Kuti. He is the leader of Egypt 80 which is his father's former band. He is 40 years old. He was born on the 11th of January 1983. He is married to Yetunde Kuti and they have children together.

During this recent interview, he shared that he does not believe in the concept of God. The interviewer had asked if he believed in God and he said No. He didn't flow with the concept that God created the world and that he will judge people when they die. He also mentioned that he doesn't believe God created the world. He claimed that there's no need to give God credit for creating the world because many people are living in hunger.

In his words “I don’t believe in God. I don’t believe in the concept of this guy watching everybody and he will judge you when you die... I don’t believe that there is something who created this world...I mean who wants to create this? If someone actually created this, are we supposed to give the person credit? For creating this? No no. 80 percent of human beings are living in hunger and we are supposed to be his most prized possession. Come on.”
