Nigerian singer Oxlade revealed in a recent interview with Afrobeats Podcast that he doesn't need a hit song to stand out or stay on top of the music industry.
The singer stated that he doesn't need a hit song. Rather, he wants to make classics that will stand the test of time. He expressed that as an artist, one has to be very careful in making music or it will all be forgotten in no time.
He mentioned his songs Away and Ku Lo Sa, saying they were released over a year ago but it still bangs. He said though his songs are old, they still have value.
He elaborated that there are a lot of artists that released hit songs last year but presently, they're nowhere to be found.
He said, "I'm not trying to impress. I'm trying to leave a long lasting image in your head."
