Late singer Mohbad's father Mr Joseph Aloba said that he knew his son could sing since he was little.
He spoke about the humble beginnings of him and his son Mohbad and how he started singing with him in church. Mr Aloba said his son Ilerioluwa learnt how to sing from him because he is a gospel artist.
He used to follow him to perform in churches and be his backup singer. He said Mohbad was a brilliant kid growing up. He was a fast learner and he always picked up things easily. He recalled how he bought his son a talking drum and he learnt how to play the talking drum within three days.
Mohbad's father said his son was his best friend who was always with him wherever he went. He described him as his "second person". He said he was an easygoing and gentle kid who tried as much as possible to stay away from trouble.
Mohbad's father also recollected how he sold his carpentry tools and equipment and how he borrowed a loan to send Mohbad to school when he gained admission.
Addressing the issue of the DNA test, he said, "It's now with the majority. It's not only about Nigeria now so they should do the proper thing at the proper time."
