BBNaija former housemate Venita Akpofure's husband Terna Terka has debunked the claims spreading online that he gave his ex-wife Venita to guests as a form of entertainment while they were married.
Terna stated that as the son from a prominent Tiv background, and in all his years of hosting guests, such practices have never crossed his mind and he has never done such a thing.
He stated, "I want to address a very controversial narrative that has been making rounds all over social media and the news. This is regarding a statement that when Tiv men host their guests, they give their wives out to these guests for pleasure purposes.
Speaking as a proud Tiv man who was born into one of the most prominent families to come out of the Middle Belt region and the first grandson of Joseph Tarka, I'd like to categorically state that in all my years of hosting my guests, the thought of such derogatory practice has never crossed my mind."
He also clarified that such an act was never carried out throughout his marriage with the reality star and mother of his children Venita Akpofure. He said it is easy to become a target for the media as a Tiv man. However, he is addressing the issue on behalf of the Tiv tribe that such practice has never existed within their culture.
Terna Terka said the matter had been addressed by their paramount ruler Prof. James Ortese Ayatse. He issued a stern warning to the public saying they should desist from such allegations or face the consequences.
Venita was married to Terna Terka for four years. They ended their marriage in 2021 due to undisclosed reasons. They have two daughters from their marriage.
