Nigerian singer and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay has revealed that he started singing when he was 13 years old.
In a recent interview with Capital Xtra, Omah Lay said if he were to talk to his younger self, he would tell him how proud he is to attain the level of success he has now.
He said, "I'd say, I'm proud of you. I'm proud of all the decisions you're making right now. I'm proud of how hard you're working right now because I know this whole thing didn't start now."
Omah Lay revealed that he started singing when he was 13 years old so he is proud of all the decisions he has made till date. He added that he wouldn't have changed anything if he wanted to. Though he said the only thing he would change is not meeting Bright, one of his exes.
Omah Lay shot into the limelight in 2020 after his song "Bad Influence" became a hit on social media. Omah Lay was born and raised in Port Harcourt. He graduated from the University of Port Harcourt. His first EP "Get Layd" is regarded as one of his finest works till date. His songs include "Soso", "You", "Understand", "LoLo" among others. Omah Lay has gone on to release more projects including "What Have We Done" and his debut album in 2022 "Boy Alone".
