In April 2021, Victony and his friends were on their way home from the club and unfortunately got into a fatal accident which claimed the life of his friend Doyin and left him crippled for months.
During that time, Victony was confined to a wheelchair and he couldn't walk or stand for months. He'd go to perform in shows while sitting and that was one of the worst experiences of his life. From there, he began to use crutches and he was able to walk again.
While speaking to Teen Vogue, he said he couldn't recollect it because it all happened really fast. He says he feels guilty of not remembering any details from the accident.
"I wish I could remember. I just feel like maybe things would have been different if I was awake.", He said.
