The response of the Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido to Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has taken everyone by surprise.
Recall that yesterday, the 7th of October, Amaju Pinnick went viral for attempting to ruin Davido's image at an event. He said that Davido was paid $94,600 to perform at Warri sometime in April but the singer refused to show up at the event. Amaju added that he arranged a private jet to transport Davido to Warri, yet, he didn't show up for the show.
Many were shocked to hear this disturbing information about their favorite artist but Davido quickly narrated his side of the story. The Afrobeats artist said that it was true that he was paid $94,600 to perform at Warri. However, he later informed the organizers that his schedule would not permit him to be present for the show. Yet, they kept using his name to promote the show to deceive the unsuspecting public.
Davido added that if he is to return the $94,600, he would rather donate it to any football charity organization than transfer it to Amaju Pinnick. Also, Davido has assured his fans in Warri that he would be performing there in December.
