If a poor man prays for you, reject it, man preaches
A Nigerian man preaches the importance of rejecting a poor man's prayer to his audience and that sparked reactions from listeners. He said that poor people's prayers do not get answered by God because if they did, they wouldn't be poor. He added that giving the poor man money with the expectation of receiving their prayers is a waste of time. He also demonstrated how poor people are wasting their time praying for those who gift them some money.
In a country like Nigeria, religion and spirituality are at the highest echelon of the society. Millions of households do not joke with religion and parents keep transferring their religious beliefs to their children. Also, prayer isn't restricted to one's financial capabilities as both the rich, middle class, and the poor, attend various gatherings to pray to God.
Therefore, telling people who live in such a society not to believe in the prayers of the poor is like telling them to go against the norm.
