In a long interview with Reno Omokri yesterday, Naira Marley said he believes the Nigerian police are doing their due diligence to ensure that the culprits behind Mohbad's death are brought to book.

Naira Marley said he cannot understand why people are accusing him wrongly for the death of his former signee Mohbad when he wasn't even in the country when it happened. He also commented on people unfollowing him on Instagram after the incident occurred, saying he'd rather have Mohbad alive than gain followers.

When asked if he would return to Nigeria if the police invited him for questioning, he said he would only return if the police can guarantee his safety because Nigerians have been poisoned by the media already.

Naira Marley further explained that Mohbad may have been in danger when he was alive but it never came from him. He said he doesn't belong to any cult group and he has always avoided anything that brings trouble to him.

"I am anti-cultism. Many times they've tried to get me to join them but they've never succeeded in doing it. People around him know a lot of things. If they stop directing the conspiracy my way, maybe people will see a lot of things.", he said.
