Nigerian singer and actor Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has revealed that he is battling drug addiction.
During an interview on Gold Room with Iyabo Ojo, the 73-year old singer spoke about how gracefully he is aging even at his old age. Charly Boy said he inherited good genes from his forefathers and it is quite evident in his life.
He said he loves to take his health seriously and he started visiting the gym early in life. He also revealed that he barely drinks alcohol. He said the only thing he hasn't gotten over is his addiction to nicotine which he has been trying to stop.
Charly Boy said he once quit the habit for seven years straight. Unfortunately, he went back to it and he has been trying to get out of it since then. He said he is very careful about his lifestyle, what he listens to, what he sees, eats and his company.
