Nigerian singer Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML stated that he can no longer make an album like his debut album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps (LTG) because he is now a millionaire.
In a recent interview with The Beat FM, Fireboy said one doesn't fully know his true character or perception towards things until he becomes rich. He expressed that there are certain things he swore he would never do in the past but he does them now.
He stated, "Sometimes you might think you're one person, then 50 million naira will enter your account and you'll realize you're another kind of person. There are a lot of things I said I'll never do or be until I became a millionaire."
Fireboy expressed that apart from wealth, human beings are bound to grow. He said some people are destined to be in your life to change its trajectory. Referring to himself, he added that no one should expect a 27-year-old millionaire who has had various life experiences to make an album like LTG again. Fireboy said his album LTG is a timeless piece that will exist forever so fans can listen to it anytime they miss the old "him".
"I think people need to understand that artists are human beings too and they grow. They evolve."
