Nigerian singer and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay attributes his success to his senior colleagues Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Olamide in a recent video.
Unlike fast-rising artist Odumodublvck who said no Nigerian singer paved the way for his success, Omah Lay said he is where he is today because of the tremendous contributions of the most prominent Nigerian singers, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Olamide.
Without any doubt, these four artists have contributed to the growth of Afrobeats and have continued to set a pace for the younger generation to come. From inspiring new sounds, breaking barriers in music, touring the world, selling out shows on the world's biggest stages, to winning prestigious awards, and discovering new artists.
Omah Lay said, "I feel like I wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for the previous generation. Burna, Wiz, Davido and Olamide. They are the reasons why I'm here and I'm doing it like this. I can't say for sure what exactly it is I'm doing differently but I'm just doing me"
