Imagine fielding a goalkeeper from the 80s instead of Stanley Nwabali- Aisha Yesufu tells Nigerians to use football sense when it comes to politics

Nigerian Activist Aisha Yesufu has cited the outcome of the Super Eagles vs Bafana Bafana match to advise Nigerians about politics. She said that the Super Eagles were able to advance to the next stage of the AFCON 2023 because they chose the right and energetic members for the game. They didn't become sentimental when it came to selecting the players and the goalkeeper unlike the sentiments used in politics. She added that if the coach of the Super Eagles had selected a goalkeeper from the 80s to represent Nigeria instead of Nwabali, Nigeria would have lost to the Super Eagles in yesterday's game.

She advised Nigerians to think about this when next an election is coming up and stop being sentimental in their approaches to choosing our leaders. In Aisha's words, "Imagine instead of fielding Stanley Nwabali we decided to keep a goalkeeper from the 80s because it is his turn. Make we dey use football sense during election. Religious and tribal sentiments don't give you positive results."
