Olufunmilayo Ogunsanya is a celebrity Doctor popular with the handle @DrOlufunmilayo. In November 2019, he met his ex-girlfriend, Dr. Bolanle Aseyan, on Twitter. They began as friends and after some time, their friendship graduated into a romantic relationship.
At that time, Dr. Olufunmilayo was based in the UK, so he arranged for his ex. girlfriend to join him. Dr. Funmi introduced her to his friend, Dr. Owolabi who assisted Bolanle in acquiring a UK Visa.
When Dr. Funmi's ex-girlfriend arrived in the UK, he housed her, fed her, and prevented her from paying the bills. One thing led to another, the ex-couple broke up, and Dr. Bolanle couldn't accept her reality. Instead, she took it upon herself to ruin her ex-boyfriend's career and life.
Dr. Funmi's lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, announced the news yesterday on Twitter. He wrote, "Dr. Bolanle, filed a frivolous complaint with the General Medical Council (GMC) in 2020 against him in the hope that he will lose his practice license. GMC referred the matter to the Medical Tribunal.
"Today, 19th July 2023, the Tribunal has announced their decision and determined that all the allegations made against Dr. Funmi have not been proved. The Tribunal ruled that Dr. Funmi’s fitness to practice has not been impaired," he added.
Inibehe Effiong added that Dr. Bolanle Aseyan is facing civil and criminal lawsuits in Nigeria while Dr. Funmi has been exonerated of rape, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse falsely leveled against him by his embittered ex. girlfriend.
