Inspector General of Police mourns late Amotekun commander
The late Amotekun commander
IGP Olukayode Adeolu who is acting as the Inspector General of Police has mourned the late Amotekun commander in Ogun state.
He shared his condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased
The Ogun Amotekun commander is CP David Ajibola Akinremi. He was the commander of this Ogun state security agency known as Amotekun.
The commander passed away on Monday after a long battle with an illness. The nature of the illness was not disclosed to the public.
This man had been serving as commander since 2021 after he was appointed by the Governor.
The IGP released a statement to commensurate with the family of the deceased.
It was the public relations officers of the police force, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who shared this on twitter. This was on behalf of the entire Nigerian police force.
He revealed that the late commander had a good service record and was very committed to protecting the rights of Nigerians.
They referred to him as a highly respected member of the community. They revealed that he passed away on the 25th of June.
They mention how committed and dedicated he was to work and how he always contributed in great measures in ensuring safety in the country.
