Meta's social messaging app Instagram has announced its plans to partner with the Federal Government to start paying content creators in Nigeria from June 2024.
This was disclosed by Meta's President of Global Affairs, Sir Nick Clegg in a meeting with President Tinubu in Abuja on Thursday, 21st March 2024.
Sir Clegg said Meta will introduce a revenue-sharing feature on its Instagram platform to enable Nigerian content creators to monetize their content. President Tinubu said his government is dedicated to investing in the digital economy and expanding business opportunities across various sectors.
