Nigerian singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has lost his 3 Grammy nominations.
The 66th Grammy nominations took place on 4th February 2024 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Nigerian artists nominated in this year's prestigious award ceremony include Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Olamide, and Asake.
Unfortunately, it is a great loss for Nigeria and Afrobeats tonight as all the nominees lost. Davido, who recently said he deserves 20 Grammy Awards for his tremendous contributions to the growth of Afrobeats, has lost all 3 nominations.
Davido's album Timeless was nominated for the Global Music Album, and his songs "Feel" and "Unavailable" for Global Music Performance and Best African Music Performance respectively. The only Nigerian artists with a Grammy Award are Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems.
