Investigations commence as gunmen kill man in Rivers state
The Rivers State Police command has begun investigations into the death of a man who was killed in Rivers State.
The police command confirmed the death of this man who is yet-to-be-identified.
This man was being chased by some gunmen in Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.
Some eyewitnesses mentioned that these gunmen shot at the man many times as he was running.
After the gunmen shot him, he quickly zoomed off. The eyewitness mentioned that the gunshot wound was serious and the man was bleeding seriously but the gunshots had scared everyone into their homes so everyone was afraid to help.
Some people are suspecting this incident has to do with a battle between cult groups that broke out last week.
In this same city, some hoodlums which people believed are cultists were causing problems in the state on Sunday.
They robbed many people along Mile 1 Diobu in Port Harcourt.
Regarding the incident of the man who was killed by gunmen, Grace Iringe-Koko, who is the spokesperson for the state police command, was the one who confirmed the incident.
The man was then rushed to hospital by someone and it was at the hospital that he was confirmed dead.
