Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini also known as Itele de Icon has been criticized by a fan following the release of his movie 'Kesari' on the global streaming platform, Netflix on May 31st, 2024.
The movie Kesari is the story of a deity who reincarnated as a notorious kingpin to defend the masses from the rich and affluent. The traditional movie made over N77M in cinemas and topped No.1 on Netflix after its release. The movie featured stars like Odunlade Adekola, Kevin Ikeduba, Deyemi Okanlawon, Dele Odule, Bolaji Ogunmola, Mr Macaroni, Mo Bimpe, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji and many more.
Following its release, movie lovers expressed their disappointment as they shared their reviews. In a voice note that has gone viral online, a fan sent a DM to Itele, saying he made a huge mistake releasing his movie on Netflix because it didn't meet the expectations.
