Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has stated that he has never won any prestigious award since he started his acting career.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Deyemi said it is quite surprising that after several years of being in the Nollywood industry, he has never won a prestigious award like the AMVCA. He said he has been around for long to win such awards but isn't the type to worry. He stated that he has learned to appreciate his talent more and give himself accolades rather than waiting for external validation.
Deyemi added that his presence should validate an award and not vice versa. Deyemi Okanlawon began acting in 2010 when he was featured in a movie titled ZR-7. Since then, he has starred in blockbuster movies including Omo Ghetto The Saga, Desperate Housegirls, Royal Hibiscus Hotel, King of Boys, Castle & Castle, Blood Sisters, Prophetess, and Elesin Oba among others.
