Iyanya reveals that N5m has been paid to the person who returned Mayorkun’s pendant
Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya has revealed that the N5milllion which was promised to the person who returns Mayorkun’s pendant has been paid. Recall Nigerian singer, Mayrokun’s pendant was missing and a reward of N5million was promised to whoever returns the pendant, this promise has been fulfilled. The pendant was stolen in Calabar, Cross River state on Tuesday and it was recently recovered. Two pendants were stolen but one was first recovered but when a cash reward was promised, the second one surfaced.
Mayorkun had gone to Calabar to perform at the 2023 Calabar Carnival. He had been invited by the state government to perform. It was after his performance that he revealed that his pendant had been stolen. He revealed that the pendant which was stolen was worth millions of naira. He expressed his sadness over the incident and described it as a nightmare. The day after the incident, which was on a Wednesday, he then promised to give a sum of N5million to anyone who returns the second one. By Thursday evening, Iyanya gave an update saying the pendant has been returned.
He thanked those who returned it for doing the right thing by giving it back to him. Not long after, a fan questioned him about the N5million naira payment which was promised to the person and Iyanya then responded with a simple message “paid”’ meaning the money has been given to the person.
