Jadon Sancho appears to have rediscovered his form at Borussia Dortmund, as he was impressive on his second debut for the club.

Sancho put in a magnificent display against SV Darmstadt on Saturday, January 13, 2024, helping Edin Terzic's side secure a 3-0 away victory.

Jadon Sancho recorded an assist in his first game following his return to Germany, setting up Marco Reus for Borussia Dortmund's second on the day.

The Black and Yellows got in front in the 24th minute through Julian Brandt, before Marco Reus and Youssoufa Moukoko's goals in the second 45 gave them a comfortable 3-0 triumph over SV Darmstadt.

Speaking regarding his return to Borussia Dortmund and strutting his stuff on the football pitch for the club, Sancho said:

“It feels like coming back home. I’m happy to be back on the pitch again".

"I’m here to be happy again and help the team, smile again".

“It was just meant to be! Me coming back, assist to Marco Reus…”

Jadon Sancho endured a tough, herculean, and rough first half of the season with Manchester United due to a rift with manager Erik Ten Hag.

This squabble began after Ten Hag excluded Sancho from the squad that lost 3-1 to Arsenal on September 3, 2023.

Erik Ten Hag was asked in a presser after the game on the reason he dropped Jadon Sancho and the Dutchman stated bluntly that it was due to the Englishman's performance in training.

The 23-year-old appeared victimized and scapegoated by the Dutch tactician and he subsequently released a statement branding Ten Hag a liar.

An excerpt from the statement put out by Jadon Sancho reads:

“Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.”

Meanwhile, ahead of Manchester United's encounter against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, January 15, 2024, Erik Ten Hag didn't sound displeased with Sancho, as he wished him all the best in Germany.

He said: “I hope he's doing well, so I wish him the best of good luck. That's it. I hope he's doing well and he'll be a success.”

Jadon Sancho will be hoping to rediscover his form in Borussia Dortmund, having had a great time at the club in his first stint in Germany.

The 23-year-old has scored 50 goals and provided 65 assists in 138 appearances for the Black and Yellows in all competitions.
