Jadon Sancho has reactivated his Instagram account which indicates that the winger is closing in on a loan move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United.
What happened to Jadon Sancho?
The Englishman was axed from Manchester United's first team following a bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag due to a social media post back in September 2023.
The former Manchester City player was accused by Ten Hag of performing poorly in training leading to being left out of the Man United squad that suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hand of Arsenal.
However, Sancho then took to his social media account to attack the Dutch tactician.
He wrote; "Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say completely untrue things. I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair".
The England International had the post pinned on his X (formerly Twitter) account for a period before eventually deleting it.
Afterward, Sancho then deactivated his Instagram handle, which had gathered around 10 million followers.
The aforementioned post by Sancho caused the manager to completely ban him from training with the intention that he would be reinstated when he apologized to the coach.
But his refusal to ask for forgiveness from Ten Hag led to him being barred from using the first-team canteen and having to resort to eating a pack-up in the car park.
He has been previously filmed training on his own and with members of the Man United academy.
The 23-year-old, who joined Man United for 73 million pounds in the summer of 2021 from Dortmund, has subsequently not played for United since their 3-2 triumph against Nottingham Forest back in August.
Sancho made 82 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit, the talented winger scored 12 goals and provided six assists.
Since being banished from the United team, the 23-year-old has been looking for an escape route with reports claiming several European clubs including Juventus were willing to sign him.
Jadon Sancho set to secure a loan move to Borussia Dortmund
According to recent reports, Jadon Sancho has arrived back in Germany with the winger finally set to complete his return to Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal.
The Red Devils and Dortmund have been locked in discussions for over a week and a breakthrough has now been made with the winger ready for a medical before signing until the end of the season. The deal is a flat loan with no option to buy.
The deal is set to profit both clubs after Sancho was banished by Man United manager Erik ten Hag, with Dortmund set to pay a piece of his wages and pay a small price to the Red Devils.
Dortmund had been looking to close a deal for Sancho in time for their training camp in Marbella next week.
What's next for Jadon Sancho?
Following his loan move back to Dortmund, it remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will rejuvenate his career, which has stagnated over the past few months.
