Japan evacuates 45 citizens from Sudan and close embassy
Japan has evacuated 45 of their nationals from Sudan. They evacuated these people and their spouses from Sudan.
Recall there has been some unrest in Sudan and many countries have begun to evacuate their people. Just recently, France and the European Union also evacuated their people.
It was the prime minister , Fumio Kishida and some officials who mentioned this on Tuesday, April 25.
They revealed to reporters that Japan also closed its embassy temporarily.
He mentioned that 45 people were evacuated early this morning by the aircraft that the Japanese troops dispatched.
He also mentioned that some other Japanese were also able to leave Sudan and go to Djibouti and this was with the help of France and international organisations.
He then mentioned that after another batch was evacuated including those in the embassy, the evacuation has now been completed. They then proceeded to close the embassy.
After closing the embassy, they had set up a liaison office in Djibouti and this was to help the remaining Japanese in Sudan to evacuate
