Roma manager Jose Mourinho has unveiled his ultimate dream team consisting mostly of former Chelsea players, revealing his all-time greatest XI from those he has coached.

Mourinho, having worked with some of the finest talents in contemporary football, recently disclosed to the Obi One Podcast his choices for a dream team comprising players he has coached.

Known for his successful stints at various clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Porto, Manchester United, and Tottenham, Mourinho boasts an illustrious managerial career that includes multiple English titles, Champions League victories, a LaLiga triumph, and several other prestigious honors.

Mourinho departed the Premier League two years ago after an unsuccessful term at Spurs before taking up the reigns at Roma as he returned to management in Italy.

In this dream lineup, Mourinho chose to include players primarily from his time at Chelsea, with the absence of players from Manchester United, Tottenham, or Roma.

Despite having coached iconic figures like Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, Mourinho's selection leaned heavily towards his Chelsea connections.

As mentioned, his team doesn't include any players from Manchester United, Tottenham, or Roma, and he allowed spaces for just three past Real Madrid players.

Notably, he opted for Petr Cech over Iker Casillas in goal, assembling a defensive line comprising former Chelsea stalwarts like John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, and William Gallas, leaving out renowned defender Sergio Ramos.

The midfield, a position where Mourinho had coached various top talents, was predominantly filled with Chelsea players, with Claude Makelele and Frank Lampard forming the core.

Additionally, a surprise inclusion of Mesut Ozil, formerly of Arsenal and Real Madrid. Upfront, Mourinho preferred Didier Drogba over Zlatan Ibrahimovic, flanked by Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard.

Mourinho's choices sparked interest and raised eyebrows as he excluded notable players like Harry Kane, Sergio Ramos, Ibrahimovic, and Sneijder from his preferred XI.

The "Special one" as he is popularly called is notably known for his antics and controversy throughout his illustrious managerial career which was evidently shown in his preference for his starting 11.

Despite this, Mourinho's Roma team has shown promise in the Italian league, currently sitting third, and recently securing a spot in the knockout rounds of the Europa League with a 3-0 victory against Sheriff Tiraspol, featuring a brace from Romelu Lukaku and a goal from Andrea Belotti.

Overall, Mourinho's selection emphasized his close ties and successful partnerships during his tenure at Chelsea, showcasing his preference for players with whom he had significant success and a strong rapport.
