Jude Bellingham has received the prestigious Golden Boy award for his show of brilliance, in both club and country at the Golden Boy Gala Turin, Italy.
The former Birmingham City and Dortmund Midfielder was able to beat other competitors like Jamal Musiala and Alejandro Balde with 485 votes which was 97% of the total votes by journalists, to secure the award as the first Englishman to win the Golden Boy Award after Raheem Sterling in 2014.
English football fans hope that Bellingham will not end up as a casualty of excessive playing time in the early stages of his career as he has completed about 14,445 minutes before his 20th birthday.
Since joining Real Madrid from Dortmund in a €115 million summer transfer, Bellingham has incredibly outclassed so many young players after scoring 15 goals in all competitions alongside breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of the highest goals scored in a player's first 15 games for Madrid.
The award winner was however awarded different trophies during the Gala, the usual Golden Boy trophy and its replicas which was awarded by newspaper website readers, having secured a total of three million votes.
Bellingham in a bid to appreciate those who have supported him over the years towards achieving such a feat took to Instagram showcasing the award with a message of appreciation to his supporters.
The Englishman wrote: “Beyond grateful, thank you to everyone who’s supported my journey, until this point I can't fully express my appreciation”.
