Former governor of Ondo State Bode George has urged the judiciary to order the electoral body INEC to have a rerun.
Ahead of the court's judgement on the petition filed against the APC and INEC, the former governor has suggested a rerun.
While speaking to Arise TV yesterday, he said the judiciary shouldn't be the one to decide who won the election because Nigeria is a democratic nation.
He stated that the 2023 general election was shambolic and it didn't go through the usual process as defined by the law.
He advised that the way forward is for the electoral body to redo the election and if they are not competent enough, they should be relieved of their duties and new people should be employed.
He said, "Let us leave this hell and join the civilized people in the world. God has given us so much. We have mineral resources, Nigerians are experts all over. Why can't we do something for ourselves?"
